Summer 2005 Activities

Cub Scouts participating in at least three Summer activities will be eligible to wear an award pin for the National Summertime Pack Award.  Please be sure the contact person for the event records your son's attendance.  More event details will be added as they become available.

Pack 127 Water Fun Day
Be prepared to get wet!  Pack will provide hotdogs, buns, condiments, and paper goods.  Please bring drinks, side dishes, and desserts to share.

Come and meet K-9 officers and their dogs, and enjoy a demonstration of dog handling skills.  Call Phil Robinson at (352) 468-2931 for more info.  Directions:  Take SR-26 east, toward Melrose.  About 2 miles east of Hwy 301, turn left (north) on CR-1469.  Go about 2 miles.

Directions:  Take SR-26 east to US 301. Go north on US 301 toward Waldo about 2.4 miles, and turn slightly right at CR 1471. Go north about 2 miles toward Lake Alto Estates. Go about 1/4 mile past the entrance to the Lake Alto County boat ramp (NE 134th Place).  Look on the right side of the road for a mailbox with a spiral wind sock (you will not see the house from the road). Turn down this drive and follow to the end at Walt and Abby's house.

UF Bat House & Astronomy Observatory Friday, August 5

UF Bat House
We'll start at the UF Bat House to watch the bats fly out at sunset.  Then we'll go over to the UF Teaching Observatory for their public night (8:30-10:00 pm).  

Pizza & Pool Party Friday, August 12
5:00-8:00 pm
Westside Park Pool
A Pack 127 tradition!  End-of-summer party before public school starts on Monday, August 15.  Swimming from 5:00 until 7:00 pm, followed by pizza and soft drinks.
