“Things That Fly” Day July 17, Saturday
12:00-4:00 p.m.
Possum Creek Park
We flew frisbees, hover discs, flying toys, and a kite!  We launched stomp rockets and water rockets!  And before the thunderstorms moved in, we launched model rockets!  

Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission 1-2-3-Fish Program July 23, Friday
8:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
FWC Cedar Key Lab
The boys learned and practiced some basic fishing skills, learned about natve fsh species and conservation, made their own lures, went fishing, and got a free fishing rod and reel!  Then we visited the Cedar Key Museum State Park.  

UF Bat House & Astronomy Observatory August 6, Friday
7:45-10:00 p.m.
UF Bat House
We went to the UF Bat House to watch the bats fly out at sunset.  Unfortunately it was too cloudy to go over to the UF Teaching Observatory for their public night.  Celestial objects we were hoping to see that night were Jupiter, Mercury, Neptune, and deep sky objects like nebulae, binary stars, and star clusters.

Our traditional Pack 127 end-of-summer party before public school starts on Tuesday, August 17.  (was cancelled due to approachinig Hurricane Charley.)
