Pack leaders are volunteers with sons in
Scouting. All leaders have completed BSA training sessions
including "New Leader Essentials", "Youth Protection
Training", and leader-specific training. Our goal is to
provide a fun and safe Scouting program for our boys and families to
enjoy year-round.

Todd A. Yurchisin - Cubmaster In his sixth year as a Cub Scout
Leader, previously serving as a den leader for three years and still
serving as the pack Youth Protection Trainer. As a Cub Scout, he achieved the rank of
Webelos and earned all activity pins. He was recognized as an
Alachua District "Tiger Cub Den Leader of the Year" in 2003,
and as an Alachua District “Scout Leader of the Year” in 2008. Todd was recognized with the “District
Award of Merit” in 2009. He was
Popcorn Colonel in 2004 and 2005, and serves as this year’s
Colonel. He attended the 2005 Wood Badge course, and is a member of
the Bobwhite Patrol. Todd has taught courses at five
Universities of Scouting, BALOO, and TDC.
He was the Camp
Director for
Alachua District's Cub Scout Summer Day Camp in 2007. He recently became the District Cub
Scout Leader Training Chair. His
older son is a first year Second Class Boy Scout, and his younger son is
a Wolf in Pack 127. He is a
retired propulsion engineer, and in his spare time is an adjunct math and
science professor at Santa

Mike Gamble - Assistant Cubmaster In his first year of service to our
pack. His older son is currently a
Bear, and his younger son is a Tiger Cub.
In his spare time, Mike serves as Assistant Principal at Lincoln Middle School.

Eileen Carter - Webelos 2
Den Leader In her sixth year of service as a den leader,
Eileen served as the Popcorn Colonel for 2007. She has attended University of Scouting
and Outdoor Webelos Leader Skills (OWLS).
She has two older sons that are Boy Scouts, and her younger son is
a Webelos 2. She also has a
daughter who is a Frontier Girl Scout. In her spare time, Eileen works
with learning disabled kids and as a childrens’ choir director.

Greg MacDonald - Webelos 1 Den Leader In his third year of service as a den
leader. An Eagle Scout, Greg has
served as a “kitchen specialist” on our pack camp outs. He organized our 2008 Blue and Gold
Banquet. Greg also serves on the
pack committee as the Outings Chair.
His older son is a Bear, and his younger son is a Tiger Cub. In his spare time, Greg is an associate
professor in the Agronomy Department at the University of Florida.

Jeff Opalko - Bear Den
Leader In his umpteenth year as a Scout leader, Jeff has
served in a variety of positions in Pack 127, Troop 84, Alachua District
and North Florida Council. He has served as District Trainer,
Roundtable Commissioner, and on several Wood Badge staffs. Jeff has earned the Silver Beaver Award
for service to the Council. Jeff's
older son is an Eagle Scout, and his younger son is a Bear. In his spare time, Jeff works as a lab
director.

Rod Malone – Wolf Den Leader In his first year as a Scout
leader.

Pam Linn – Assistant Wolf Den Leader In her second year as a Scout
leader. Her older son is a Webelos
2, and her younger son is a Wolf.
In her spare time, she runs a gift shop at a local hospital.

Maria Eunice – Tiger Cub Den Leader In her third year of service as a den
leader, Maria organized our 2007 Blue and Gold Banquet. She was the Director of Alachua
District’s Buc Tuocs in February 2008, and February 2009. She was honored as a “Den Leader of the
Year” in 2009. Her older son is a
Bear, and her younger son is a Tiger Cub.
In her spare time, Maria works for the Alachua County School
Board.

John Broling – Committee
Chairman In his first year of service to our
pack. In his spare time, he is a
lawyer.
|

Joyce Yurchisin – Pack
Committee Member In her third year of service as a pack
leader, she currently serves as Pack Secretary. Joyce has been a Webelos 1 and 2 den
leader, has been trained in BALOO, TDC, and Outdoor Webelos Leader Skills
(OWLS). Joyce was recognized as an
Alachua District “Scout Leader of the Year” in 2007 and 2009. She taught at University of Scouting
2007 and 2008. She attended the 2008
Wood Badge course, and is a member of the Antelope Patrol. The wife of our pack’s Cubmaster, she
is also an Assistant Scoutmaster for her older son’s patrol in Troop 125,
and serves the district as a unit commissioner. In her spare time, Joyce is a Registered
Dietician in the WIC program for the Marion County Health Department.

Chairman In his third year as our Awards
Chairman, he is responsible for tracking our Scouts’ achievements and
awards.

Wayne McCormack - Pack Trainer.
In his sixth year as a Cub Scout leader, has served as an Assistant Den
Leader for the Bear and Webelos 1 dens, Committee Chair and Cubmaster.
Attended Philmont
Training Center
in Summer 2004 and 2005, and is also an Assistant Scoutmaster for Troop
125. Wayne was recognized as the Alachua
District "Scouter of the Year" for 2004 and one of two Alachua
District "Cubmasters of the Year" for 2005, and received the
2006 "District Award of Merit". Wayne is a member of the Bobwhite Patrol
of the 2005 Wood Badge course. As a Cub Scout he earned his Webelos
badge and activity pins. In his spare time, he's an Associate
Professor of immunology and Associate Dean at the UF College of

Andrew J. "Sandy" Evans, Ph.D., P.E.
- Chartered Organization Representative. An adult leader
with Boy Scout Troop 84, an Assistant Leader for Girl Scout Troop 1037,
and former Pack 127 den leader. Sandy is a member of the Bobwhite Patrol
of the 2005 Wood Badge course. As a boy scout he has earned the
rank of Star Scout. In his spare time, he's a retired Aerospace and
